If I were allowed to dream a little dream, it would be to age as elegantly as Hal Holbrook, and as alluringly as Adrienne Barbeau.
Such a perfect screengrab... I love the "I hate my wife" expression on Hal and the distorted face on Adrienne. Plus her necklace is askew 'CAUSE SHE'S DRUNK. Heart!
That's a beautiful, well-expressed sentiment. I share it!I think I'd like to add, since this is a photo from CREEPSHOW, "to continue to sound as good as Fritz Weaver."
Her delivery of "I know all the best stores." is one of my favorite line readings in all of cinema. I effing love Wilma.
This all leads to what may be my favorite line in the movie: "Tell it to call you Billie, you bitch!"
Holbrook appears to be looking right at us, quietly saying "Please save me from my life."I need to revisit this movie and soon. As great as these two were, Fritz Weaver's horror and hysteria were downright Oscar-worthy.
