it's wednesday!

Yes, it's true: it's Wednesday! That means I've got a column up at AMC...and this week, I'm talking about a little something something called Night of the Creeps, which is getting a DVD reissue on the 27th. AWESOMESAUCE.
Over yonder at the mysterious parts known as "Horror Blips", there's a roundup of horror bloggers revealing what incessantly scares 'em in genre cinema. If you would like to find out what I said...and/or what everybody said, then make with the click click!

Dont' be too jealous, Stacie, but we get to see a brand new 35mm print during a horror marathon on Halloween here in Boston!

; )

But yeah, this movie totally rocks and is able to be funny without annoying winks at the camera. Great makeup effects! I love the Dick Miller cameo.

p.s. SCREAMING LIKE BANSHEES!

Okay, I AM totally jealous. Never seen this on the big screen.

Heh heh heh...screaming like banshees...

He might be my favorite part.

Slyde, I'm gonna skip L4D2 for a while. I don't buy many games right out of the gate ($$)...and any video game money I do scrounge up next month will go towards Dragon Age. I'm a nerd for all things BioWare. :D And a nerd in general, I suppose.

techically it's not a reissue since it's never been issued on dvd to begin with.

Well, technically it's a reissue of a movie that's appeared on VHS, but if it's an "official" DVD reissue, then no.

I always thought the DVD bootlegs were from some long-out of print DVD release, but I guess not.

This is the Directors cut...which ending will that have? I was shocked to watch it on Fearnet last year and it had a totally different ending.

Anyways, I cannot wait to get the Blu-Ray next week. You are all invited to come over on Friday October 30th and watch it at my apartment.

I think Dekker originally envisioned the graveyard ending, and that's what'll be considered "Director's Cut".

That's definitely my preferred ending.
