A Moment of Not Horror

Nope, this isn't horror-related so brace yourself: today is the birthday of one Mr. John Waters, and I can't let the occasion pass without posting something from one of my favoritest movies (of his or otherwise), Female Trouble. This scene seems like the most obvious, so here you go.

"I hate you, fuck you! Fuck you, both you awful people!" Oh, I could watch it all day. Divine was a unicorn.

We here at Final Girl, a division of StacieCo Enterprises, appreciate your patience. We will resume horror programming shortly.

My offer still stands. If you get tired of being a Hare Krishna, you come live with me and be a lesbian!

Female Trouble was my first "real" Waters films so it will always have a special place in my heart. I absolutely adore Mink Stole in Desperate Living though. I would glady watch a daily 30 minute tv show called "Mink Stole Rants About Something For A Half Hour".

Remember: "It's poooo...."

Do you remember a spot that John Waters did in a pre-show theatrical card at Landmark Theaters where he riffed on how he totally wants to be progressive and not elitist or whatever, but if he paid for a first class ticket on a plane, he shouldn't have to be subjected to the economy flyers using the first class bathroom?

I*t was awesome. Happy bday JW.

The first time I watched Female Trouble happened to be on a Christmas Eve. It wasn't until Boxing Day that I was able to pick my jaw up off the floor.

Nowadays I'm a liquid eyeliner junkie and prone to spontaneous fashion fits. Many happy returns, JW!

Love love love Waters, so fabulous. Spent last New Year's Eve watching this, then again with audio commentary.

"And I'm so fucking beautiful I can't stand it myself!"

Female Trouble NEVER NEVER EVER get old. I almost ruptured something the first time I saw this movie because I was laughing so hard...and it just never fails to make me laugh out loud.
