FINAL GIRL explores the slasher flicks of the '70s and '80s...and all the other horror movies I feel like talking about, too. This is life on the EDGE, so beware yon spoilers!

hooray!

Bring your good times, and your laughter too! 'Tis a day of joyous celebration, folks, for 39 years ago on this very day, Yasmine Bleeth was brought into the world...and 26 years before that, I was brought into the world. In other words, today is my birthday. Huzzah, indeed.

Normally I wouldn't mention this sort of thing, but it just so happens that the Final Girl 2-year anniversary was a few days ago, so I thought it might be fun to bust out some Riunite (on ice, it's so nice!) to celebrate. Wow, I've been doing this blog thing for two whole years. Time flies when you're something something. Now then, let's all join hands, sway a bit, and try not to fall asleep during the...

FINAL GIRL TWO YEAR ANNIVERSARY SPECTACULAR EXTRAVAGANZA!

...please welcome your hosts Charles Nelson Reilly, Freddy Krueger candle, and Carol Levy of Jack Sholder's Alone in the Dark!

"..."

"I can do this!"

So what's the first extravagant extravaganza showpiece, hosts?

"..."

"Look at me!"

Ooooookay, maybe I have to do this myself. Umm...so...

Sorry, when I found out that Charles Nelson Reilly, Freddy Krueger candle, and Carol Levy would be hosting, I thought this really might be an extravaganza. Where's Rod Roddy when you need him?

"A new car!"

Damn. This just isn't working out at all. Oh well, maybe next year. In the meantime, thanks for reading, and keep reaching for the stars!

Happy happy! Wow, Yasmin Bleeth. I thought I was in good company with Cher. And, apparently, Jasmin Bligh. So it's sort of like we're Hollywood astrological twins.

Have a lovely day!

Happy birthday...and for God's sake DON'T go drinking, engage in out-of-wedlock sex and then walk home alone. I've seen movies where bad things can happen in that situation on this special day...like finding out you have a twin sister thats killing people or that Glenn Ford is your psychiatrist.

Happy happy joy joy! Keep up the good work and once again, welcome back.

I hope you are planning on inviting 6 of the rich kids from your new headquarter's area and kill them in fashionable and imaginative ways. But remember that it's not you doing the killing!

Byw, what movie is the Cakehead pic from?

Also, love the Charles Nelson Reilly card captions - poor Charles...I hope he's okay up (down) there.

You guys rock my face off so fucking hard! Thanks for the wishes.

Bill- I know, right? Yasmine Bleeth! I wish I shared my bday with ALL the awesome Lifetime movie actresses.

Repoman- is it bad of me to kind of wish I did have a secret evil twin sister? That would kinda rule, especially if she was Daphne Zuniga. And can I go out drinking and engage in out of wedlock sex so long as I take a cab home? Or a pedicab? Or if I ride a pony?

Theron- the pic is from Creepshow..."It's Father's Day, and I want my cake!"

FYI everyone, I totally read online today that Freddy's origins as a minstrel performer will be revealed in the upcoming Michael Bay-produced Nightmare prequel A Mammy on Elm Street.

Thanks again, everybody...my heart has been warmed. Soon I'll be off to tie one on...

...and have some booze.

Happy Birthday!

It's time to break out the double knit paintsuits and the single malt scotch.

And, as usual, I love you so much it makes my head hurt.

Er, sorry, that's pantsuits (Pant Suits). But paintsuits might be interesting too.
