  • So does the appearance of The Funhouse have you wicked pumped for the next Film Club meeting, or what? November 8th- be there! Or don't.
  • Speaking of The Funhouse...1981 represent! Four films in this chunk alone. Nicely done, folks.
  • The Hitcher is such a great movie. That scene with Jennifer Jason Leigh, man...you know the one. YOU KNOW.
  • The appearance of The Amityville Horror has me hankerin' to re-watch Part IV: The Evil Escapes, which makes no-- well, it's about an evil floor lamp, so my wanting to watch it makes perfect sense, actually. I gotta check out the sequel about the dollhouse and the sequel about the clock, too.
  • Another re-watch: Don't Be Afraid of the Dark. It really underwhelmed me the first (and only) time I saw it. It could be one of those movies that's better-loved if you saw it back in the day, but I think it deserves a second chance. I'll take it back with open arms, but if it hurts me again we're through. For reals.

Ahh, I'm so relieved that Spider Baby made the list. That was one of the runners-up for my list. I thought it would never show up at all.

To see it get FIVE votes here warms my heart.Well done!

Captain Kronos!!!! I love love love that movie. It didn't make my list cuz it's not particularly scary, but it is wicked awesome.

There's a bunch of really great movies on this list that I'm surprised didn't get more love...but since I didn't vote for any of them, either, I guess I shouldn't be.

Really happy to see HALLOWEEN III getting some serious love! I'm a fan...got the DVD, got the soundtrack CD. This movie needs a fan club!

So.... Feast 3 got the most votes of the trilogy. That makes me a bit sad....

Looking forward to the 7+ vote getters! Shit is getting real!

"Feast 3 got the most votes of the trilogy..."

How do you figure that?

Holla to the three other folks who voted for Kim Darby and little demons! I love that movie.

Cabin Fever has made its appearance so I expect to see Cabin Fever 2 any day now. Just kidding, I know everybody hates it. I love it!

Pan's Labyrinth is the opposite of that for me. I've never seen a review that is any less than glowing and it wasn't very good.

I would think Feast 3 got the most votes since I voted for the entire trilogy and have yet to see it appear on the list. Unless I missed it somewhere...

Feast 3 isn't on the master list at all, so...hmm. Email me your list again, please, and I'll try to figure out what's what! Sorry if there's been some kind of mix-up. Although if people listed numbers 1-20, but, say, "Feast 1-3" was listed for #5, then I only counted the first film as counting all three would put them over 20 choices. Does that make sense? Some folks tried to sneak in multiple movies for one vote, I mean. Not saying you did that, but...eh, send me your list. :D stacieponder at gmail.com

Wow. My entire list is in the top two hundred. So far, only one on my list has been mentioned. I clearly have highly unoriginal choices. :)

Just watched Dead and Buried, after seeing how many votes it got and reading your description. Awesome movie! Definitely underrated.

I agree that Dead and Buried is underrated. I'm quite happy that a lot of these movies got 5 votes.

Really liking a lot of the titles on this list. Spider Baby is one of my all time favorites. Although The Burning isn't necessarily a great movie, the raft scene alone is worth the price of admission.

LOVE The Hitcher! That was definitely on my list.

I will give additional love to Phenomena, not least for its truth in advertising. It has Donald Pleasance, Jennifer Connelly, Dario Argento, massive swarms of insects, Motorhead, and a chimp with a straight razor. Those are some impressive phenomena right there.

Nice to see Don't Be Afraid of the Dark get a little love. It's nice to see little films make that kind of impact!

Pieces is SO good. I should have put it on my list. I adore it and just the other day I saw an oversized oaf chainsawing the bushes on my college campus...and well you can guess where my mind went!
