Please note, I'm talking about the original version, the Christopher Lee and his crazy hair edition- NOT the Nicolas Cage in a bear suit remake. Was Nicolas Cage in a bear suit in the remake? I think he was...or he kicked a bear-suited person in the face or something like that. I don't know, I haven't seen it. Maybe I will...maybe I won't. To those with access to fearnet On-Demand viewing, you don't even need to netflix it... Or so I found out after dropping $6.99 on a DVD copy. I TOTALLY could have spent that $7 on Bucket of Blood instead...
There was no remake. Not in my universe at any rate.

That's a pretty massive jump in quality from Slaughter High. So much so that I think I just got a nosebleed.
Also, to anyone who hasn't seen the film before and is lucky enough to be unfamiliar with its plot: get off the internet right now! Go rent/buy/netflix it, then avoid all discussion of the film whatsoever.
An unspoilt viewing of the film is a rare and precious thing. (I managed to stupefy myself into a similar experience with heavy drinking.)
I'm glad so many people are excited for this one!
You're right, Knarf, it IS quite a change, but then I like to keep you peeps on yer toes- like the time I followed up The Initiation with The Exorcist. Plus, I'm just in the mood for something GOOD. I'm still tasting that bad run towards the end of Shocktober.
Wow, I don't even know if I can review one of my favorite films of all time! The pressure is daunting, especially when I've been watching nothing but Frogs and Fear of Clowns-quality movies this month.
I do heavily recommend the double disc DVD for anyone. There are some great special features, plus a very interesting commentary with Count Dooku himself.

Who else could sign the Eurobabe trifecta of Britt Ekland, Ingrid Pitt, and Diane Cilento, then halfway through shooting realize he WASN'T making a nudie musical, and for a finale, (Beware - Spoiler!) barbeque the Equalizer?
