To me, that only works when the pencils and colors combine to make art that looks painterly, as it did when Cary Nord & Dave Stewart worked together on Conan. When the penciler is simply trying to mimic inks using lead, well, it just looks like it needs to be inked. To me, anyway. Maybe these kids today don't notice or care.

I do dig the interiors, although there's nothing really groundbreaking happening- not that there needs to be. It's solid work, though. It'd pop with some inks, though. Reminds me a bit of a less bizarre Ryan Ottley (Invincible).Stacie Ponderhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07784074536271206501noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-13599870.post-53601444021464021362009-12-02T20:23:04.330-05:002009-12-02T20:23:04.330-05:00Right up my alley*, thanks for the heads up.

Kind of like a watered down version of Andy Kubert's work on Origin or something. Maybe Fabbri DOES need a decent inker. Hey...don't you do that?Verdant Earlhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03139591223231428391noreply@blogger.com
